We are experiencing collective trauma in real time that can leave us feeling hopeless.
Join 1440 Multiversity faculty member and somatic psychotherapist Manuela Mischke-Reeds as she shares her unique trauma method, Trauma to Dharma. This method integrates somatic trauma therapy techniques, psychobiological models of trauma in the body, ancient wisdom from Buddhist psychology, and the cultivation of the inner development of the practitioner.
In this single-day workshop, you will build a foundation into the key practices that underpin the Trauma to Dharma method. Manuela will share about the focus on self-inquiry and practice and applying the dharmic view to the somatic experience. You will learn how trauma has two messengers – the destruction of what has been and the gift of what is emerging – and through the “soma” we gain confidence and emotional control as well as a way to process traumatic memories in a safe way.
